Colostrum, also known as colostrum or colostrum, is obtained from milk. Colostrum is a substance secreted by the mammary glands of mammals in the last stage of pregnancy up to several dozen hours after birth. It has a characteristic yellow color. Its composition is different than milk obtained later. These differences concern especially nutritional values and immunoglobulins (also called antibodies).
Colostrum Aliness is a mixture of many ingredients with different physical, chemical and biological properties, it is a source of 19 exogenous amino acids, contains immunoglobulins, especially IgG, IgM, IgA, IgE, IgD and PRP (proline), lactoferrin (a protein from the transferrin group) and vitamins and minerals.
Vitamin content – mainly B1, B2, B6, C, E and A.
Mineral content – mainly phosphorus, calcium, potassium, magnesium and sodium
The composition of colostrum changes with time after birth. The amount of proteins decreases in favor of sugars and lipids, which are energy material.
Colostrum contains lactose (milk sugar), but its content is much lower than in later milk. However, it is sufficient to provide a source of energy for organs and tissues and to regulate the composition and activity of intestinal microflora (due to the breakdown of lactose to lactic acid).
However, the amount of milk sugar in colostrum collected within a few hours after birth is small enough that it should not cause digestive problems in people suffering from lactose intolerance.
