Description of Aliness Sodium butyrate 550 mg

Sodium butyrate (butyric acid) is the basic energy material for the gastrointestinal epithelium. The use of microcapsule technology, in contrast to standard forms of butyric acid, prevents the complete release of butyric acid in the upper gastrointestinal tract and allows it to be delivered to the small and large intestines. The microcapsule passes with the food into the small intestine and then into the large intestine, where further amounts of sodium butyrate are released. The composition of the microcapsule is selected so that the sodium butyrate release process takes place along the entire length of the small and large intestine. Aliness sodium butyrate is the only product on the market that uses stearic acid, not hardened palm oil, for the encapsulation of the active substance. Stearic acid is a naturally occurring fatty acid which, due to its specificity, cannot be hydrogenated / cured anymore, as it is a saturated acid.
