Acerola (Malpighia Glabra) is a species of plant found in Central America.
Of all vegetables and fruits, acerola contains the largest amount of ascorbic acid. 100 g of fresh pulp contains 1400-2500 mg of vitamin C.
Vitamin C helps:
- maintain the proper functioning of the immune system;
- in the proper production of collagen to ensure the functioning of blood vessels, bones, teeth, cartilage, gums, skin and the nervous system;
- in maintaining proper psychological functions;
- in protecting cells against oxidative stress;
- in the regeneration of the reduced form of vitamin E;
