Antarctic krill is a species of crustacean Euphausia superba that lives in the very clean and nutrient-rich waters of the Antarctic Ocean and its diet is based mainly on phytoplankton.
Krill oil is a rich source of omega-3 fatty acids such as eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). This fat also contains astaxanthin, which gives Antarctic krill its characteristic red color. Each capsule contains 500 mg of oil obtained from Antarctic krill.
